Owning a vintage shop is such fun.

To start with the task of tracking down stock is so exciting, almost like buying for your own wardrobe but with out being restricted by size, cut or style. I mean who doesn't love clothes shopping. It's a voyage of discovery as you just never know what you are going to come across. Someone's personal wardrobe from times past, Pieces of history that have stood the test of time. The chance to admire quality workmanship. (Unfortunately something that we don't see on the high street very much these days) Unique one-off items quite often hand made. Quality sewn in. (No pun intended) In eleven years of running this shop I don't think we have ever had two identical items of clothing. I find that just looking at the style, cut and colours of a garment conjures up images of a lost era with a lot of nostalgia attached to it. Were they 'the good old days.' I don't know but when I look back things seemed a lot more stress free fifty years ago..

Of course the other cool thing about being in this business is the people you meet. Dealers, sellers or people just looking to pass on a family treasure. They all have a story to tell and usually hold a certain amount of culture within them selves. I mean you must be slightly cultured to be in this trade and if your a customer possess a element of style and self pride to want to be part of the vintage set. Interesting people, people that like to have fun, our type of people.

So to wake up and start every day full of joy knowing that it's going to be yet another great day in the life of a vintage shop owner is a pretty good place to be in life and a good state of mind to be in as well.

Why not join us in being happy and looking good in a bit of vintage.
